Rest awhile, if troubled, my heart
God rules, reigns, every part
Rest awhile in God, heart open
With His still small voice He spoken
His love is His token (x2)
He has spoken, and He will speak
Revealed to humble, meek
Not to the haughty nor the proud
Nor to those here proclaiming loud
His love to us [is] avowed (x2)
I will hear what the Lord will speak
And His face will I seek
For He will to us speak His peace
And from all our fears us release
His love to us not cease (x2)
But let people not turn again
To foolish things, time when
They strayed in vanity and pride
And did the good things then deride
yet His love at our side (x2)
Peace, perfect peace, it be God\'s peace
His presence, His increase
His comfort, His strength and solace
Meditate on His dwelling place
His love in hearts, each race (x2)
