Two sons had Abraham the man
One by bond-maid, one by free woman
He who born of the bond woman
Ishmael the name of Hagar\'s son
He born of the flesh naturally
As all human births so do be
But the one born of free woman
Isaac the name of Sarah\'s son
Isaac, he was born by promise
God\'s plan, purpose, working in this
These things they be allegory
Symbolic, two covenants, see
For Hagar she be mount Sinai
In Arabia does it lie
Which corresponds to bondage, see
Earthly Jerusalem, not free
But Sarah, she symbolic be
Of Jerusalem above, free
Which is the mother of us all
Who in the Lord do trust and call
For it is written, Rejoice you
Barren that bears, for not a few
Children shall you have, but many
More than they that have husbands, see
Now we as Isaac was, we be
The children of the promise, free
But as it was in days of old
So the same pattern is retold
That they who by the flesh were born
They do still persecute and scorn
Those that are born of the Spirit
Who with God\'s family are knit
Yet what does Scripture say to do
When they oppose, persecute you?
Cast out bond woman and her son
They have a share in promise none
Shall not be heirs with free woman
Of the promise, nor with her son
And we of New Covenant be
The children of the mother free
