Dark days etched upon my mind
Black clouds swirling up above
The deep contrast of colours form illusions in my sight
I hope they settle through the night
The clatter of thunder the pounding of hooves
Like an army of horses galloping in the heavens
The ground consumed with rain and leaves
Where the trees have been battered with no reprieve
I keep warm by the fire with curtains drawn
A book to comfort me as the world outside succumbs
To the vast never ending turmolt
of dark tumultuous nights
