You...

You...

Precious is fragile, so hard to keep perfect

Petals on flowers untouched by the sun

Crisp linen table cloth snow on the mountains

Clean clothes on children before all the fun

Four in the morning before the world wakens

The sun of my face, before it can burn

Night-times and moonshine and talking ‘til morning

and kissing your lips that kiss back and in turn

You make my world wondrous, you blessed us our family

You make me a poet just thinking of you...

I never knew ‘forever’ existed ’til lately

I never knew the strength of the two words “I do”

Fragile is precious, so hard to keep perfect

Life’s like a clock that we cannot re-wind

Oh we stretch it and bend it with comings and goings

But I’m ever thankful that we shared our time
