Day to day
We cram reams of information
Into our perplexed brains
Adults cheer from the sidelines
Telling us
We can get through this
This is a mind numbing ordeal
Pressure builds on us
Giving us hunched backs
And strained wrists
Yet the adults still cheer
Pretending like we aren’t all stumbling through this treacherous trial
We pray they will someday be able
To comprehend the stress
The older generations force onto us
Our minds may be frazzled
And our hearts may be broken
But we are the young ones
Who will never stop going forward
