Birthday Pie
On his day we’ll have pie
A fruity one with cherries
I know that he won’t mind
As cake is so ordinary
There will be no candles
To represent his age
A pie couldn’t handle
So many there ablaze
We can still have ice cream
To go with our ample slice
And we will celebrate
Another year that he’s alive
There will also be gifts
And cards many funny
And games that we’ll play
From spades to gin rummy
And we will all celebrate
The special time we’ve had
And his many days
As our dear old dad
