Poems are like little windows into people’s lives,
Their secrets and dreams spilt onto the paper,
Emotions coloring the blank pages,
Thoughts painting the pictures,
In just a few words you’re able to tell a life story,
Or fully open yourself up to someone.
When you write a poem you make yourself vulnerable,
You’re opening those windows and letting in the cold breeze,
And any other intruders that might come with.
You’re allowing all your neighbors to peer inside your life,
And see everything that you are.
It is such a scary moment, yet a beautiful eternity.
