My Cellphone

My Cellphone

Today we’d be lost

Without our precious phones

Our ties to the world

To insure we’re never alone

Today we get excited

When we stop and play

Games of all kinds

To pass the time away

We phone our dear friends

And message many more

With our social media

To connect and explore

We live sedentary lives

Though there is an app

To count our steps each day

When long days we’ve had

And when we are lost

We can ask our phones

And we will find our way

To places never known

And we can check the weather

As often as we like

And know with info best

To go out or stay inside

When we retire at night

We  plug our phones in

And we can get some rest

Until the day begins
