Queen Of The Hill
Little labyrinths beneath the Earth
Is where the queen does her work
Busy there deep inside
With the eggs she provides
She is centerpiece of it all
With her workers all on call
Catering to her every need
As they keep the colony
So many servants there around
Are devoted to her precious crown
With pieces of dismantled things
That they have the strength to bring
There is panic in the mound
When a boot comes crashing down
With the workers repairing the damage
In great numbers disturbed and frantic
The queen is there to be seen
To calm the ones laboring
And to boost the morale
Of the others as she shall
After the reconstruction’s through
She resides in her inner room
Close to workers there inside
Loyal to her ‘til they die
