Heartache

a heart shaped locket lies motionless on my nightstand,

what remains of my shattered mind is all but forgotten,

my broken down body shows signs of trauma,

just a heart shaped locket with two flowers enclosed,

a single rose with an old-scented tulip,

wrapped around it\'s fragile stem,

if you find my body,

my cause of death was heartbreak,

when I see her face,

my mind becomes euphoric,

and in a metaphorical sense she has a heart of gold,

an angelic piece of perfect,

that even when I\'m old,

I\'ll still love,

because I refuse to ever let go,

my fragile heart is racing,

the same location and pacing,

that I found myself in quite a while ago,

the same engraving on the walls,

but now a new message:

\"don\'t stop now or you\'ll end up dead,\"

a threat in/of itself, but upon further inspection,

it was written by me,

to teach myself a lesson,

and behind the flora\'s aura,

inside the heart shaped locket,

a gun with the message,

\"pick it up now and just cock it.\"
