When we met we were so full of life,
But we were both so young.
We did not know what would be ahead,
Our journey had just begun.
The challenges would come our way,
We would conquer every one.
We would put each task behind us,
With the feeling that we won.
Each battle sought to test our skill,
They brought us a new demand,
But we could beat them every one,
As we stood hand in hand.
Money was always in short supply,
But somehow we would make do.
We managed to build a home,
And raise a family too.
But now our life has slowed a lot,
But our scars illustrate our past.
We still have battles that we win,
We just can\'t do it as fast.
