 Next Poem

Nymph of the flashing eye and sprightly air,
The rosy cheek, and yellow waving hair,
Arrest thy flying footsteps, and draw near;
Say, why do hoary locks inspire such fear?
E'en in yon garland see how brightly glows
The argent lily with the ruby rose.
