Blind

 Next Poem

Is then the light so near
That seems so far to me?
E'en so about us here
All vanished joys may be.

Time's chrysalis outgrown,
The garments that they wore--
Sight, smell, touch, taste, and tone--
They heed them now no more;

For deep to answering deep
Calls through eternity,
E'en as these tears I weep,
Alas, but cannot see!
