A Lame Man Is Healed

The cripple sat at the temple gate.
Each day they carried him there.
Each day he begged. It was all he could do,
Beg, ask a prayer.

Peter and John one day came by.
The cripple cried out his need.
The man turned back to answer his call,
"We have no money, indeed!"

"But what we have we give to you.
In the name of Jesus, walk!"
The man jumped up with a glorious shout.
He walked and jumped, began to talk.

Amazed the crowd began to watch
This man who had never been well.
"Why do you marvel?" Peter began.
"Believing in Jesus has made him well!"
