Truth Hurts
L. B. Mek said:

\'Truth hurts like the fire of words
Mindful furnace in many parts,
Circumstances changing worlds
Into shadows of unpleasant arts.\'
so true!
another acute wording of our decrepit reality\'s, issues
I can\'t believe war-torn, status
is still a permanent way of life for so many..
guess those costly world war, lessons
have not been realised, yet
I shudder to think, what it will take for us to learn...
thanks for sharing, dear poet

The horror, the devastation, the humanity, and also a little hope

Earthly Remains
A.H. Browning said:

“Here, we gather, and leave in a frame
The treasures of our earthly remains.”
That made me think of someone.
I enjoyed reading this.

These Tears I cry

I loved your poem.
And the nights are getting cold,
life looks much blurrier with destress
On grief struct-days, the blinking spreads.

Fight the Heat
L. B. Mek said:

\'Exude your confidence and fight the heat,
Keep hate from taking over your mind.\'
these lines, acutely framed
my state of mind, for the past few years
with all the abundant nihilism, that surrounds
if not for patience, how else can we hope
to survive and find a better horizon
to aspire towards..
a profound write, dear poet
thanks for sharing

Dreaming of Tomorrow
L. B. Mek said:

\'Through the darkness, I feel lonely.
Sometimes I weep and fall asleep.
Awoken late because I have gone so deep.
And restless with all that I have seen.
Mostly reality within my dream.
Real as the plague with tighter clasp.
That our society cannot grasp.\'
absolutely brilliant set of lines, a Great write!

Now to Eternity
L. B. Mek said:

a daunting yet unerringly insightful words of commentary, a haunting depiction of the bleak aspects within our reality,
though thankfully humanity\'s perspectives are moulded from our Amygdala\'s legacy of hopeful ambition to survive and eventually overcome,
good write

A Beautiful Ghost
L. B. Mek said:

\'Your chastised mind stirring to strive,
Dare the sun to rise again and shine.
Within the dreams, you survive,
To look upon the gaze that saved your mind.\'
a wonderfully life-affirming write,

Not All Nations Have Pearls
L. B. Mek said:

truly: what is value, when the scales themselves are so far removed from truth?
a measured write of insightful commentary

A Day of Reckoning
L. B. Mek said:

even removed from its religious context this is a well thought-out commentary on the bleak reality of those ugly aspects of humanity, that the mainly decent members of our society have been and continue -to: battle - one prevented catastrophe at-a-time,
(though pointedly choosing to dwell in our self-serving wilful ignorance, until absolutely necessary...)
good write

I may need to post your poem in two parts - your \'vision\' poem adapted to a hymn-poem.

It will take a while - it will be a long hymn! lol. But not that difficult. Some old-fashioned hymns went on for 30 verses or more. Phew!

Good write Gary.
I could possibly adjust this to a hymn-poem, if you wish? There\'s the hymn already: \'Be thou my vision\'.

Oh no not another victim of the plague of believing in the fairy tales of the bible.
Is this your personal prayer? If so why do you have to publish it on the web, does it make you feel extra-holy or something?
