~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BAA BAA BLACK SHEEP ~ HAVE YOU ANY WOOL
ONE FOR THE MASTER ~ ONE FOR THE DAME
ONE FOR THE LITTLE BOY WHO LIVES DOWN THE LANE !
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the UK ~ as Children we learned lots of rhymes
Before we could read ~ and we still remember them
Before written language & books History (SAGAS)
Were recited (in verse) round the Camp Fire and
Remembered. The AUTHORISED VERSION of the BIBLE
1611 is writen to recite & remember ! Compare
PSALM 23 in the AV with a Modern Version (NIV)
And you will get the Point ! In the same way ...
Hymns were written as Poetry to teach the Bible !
Hymns for CHILDREN (such as There is a *Green
Hill far away*) were written to teach Chatechism.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks for reading ~ Poetry has always been an
important element in Education in all Countries.
Please add another POEM ~ Love A & B ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’™
Accurately Aligned Annotations
Carefully Crafted Connections
Responsibly Rendered Remarks
Ostentatiously Obligated Order
Systematically Situated Semantics
Tactically Truncated Tales
Intricately Inserted Inlays
Cautiously Calculated Crooning
Patiently Positioned Poems
Ornamentally Obsessed Orations
Expertly Embedded Expressions
Timelessly Tendered Travelings
Rationally Recorded Rantings
Yearningly Yielded Yodels
PROPER POETRY SHOULD CONTAIN RHYTHM & RHYME ~ BRIAN
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
POETRY in the days of Tradition
WAS passed on by Recitation
FULL of rhyme & time & rhythm
A full blown SAGA we would give *em
BUT Modern Poetry is BLIGHTED
The Classic Forms are wronged not righted
And it can never be RECITED !
So if you post on MPS
Dont post a *Verbal Eton Mess
Post a PANTOUM ~ Post a SONNET
About a GIRL and Her Easter Bonnet
Make it Rhyme & make it Scan
If you try ~ YOU KNOW YOU CAN
Dont be like some on MPS
Whose Poetry*s a B*O*D* MESSS !
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thnaks for Reading ~ More ODD ODES Please !
A finely penned notation
Carefully arranged oration
Remarkably quite unique
Omitting all of the mystique
Scientifically designed
To entertain the ordered mind
Intricately demanding
Conceptually outstanding
Sensuously exciting
Overtly obvious writing
Neatly intended result
No dictionary need consult
Everything explained within
To share a song amongst our friends
