The Pain Love Had To Take.

kevin browne

In this life sad and hard as it may seem
Live it for as long as you can dream
Forgive the past and forget the tears
And to wonder what it could all mean.

Oh, life, try to take a little each time
Saving yourself from what you are
Let the pain hurt that's deep inside
As dark sky will find a shooting star.

It's such a sight to see some shine
As water sprung from what you found
When love is not in your heart to find
But, weep over old friends underground.

Dig a little deeper to feel what's new
If it's a dime, a dollar or a love is broken
And if the doors who'll close up for you
Then allow your love for them to be open.

Whistle along to the sound of music
Humm alongside the loving flower
Taste the sweet nectar from a tulip
To love every second of every hour.

And down by the flowing riverside
Where daisies and daffodils caress
The hearts on the wings of butterflies
As you take your very long last kiss.

And if you can ever wish upon a star
Let love speak up for the loving one
Let them go and to stay where you are
A broken heart now the lover has gone.

And this life it's madness, just madness
Where the rain keeps on pouring down
Sat all alone at home feeling a sadness
And where the flowing river was drowned.

If you knew all the pain love had to take
If you knew all the ballads from a man
That put love songs and poetry in place
To show love in all the things that you can.

Pretty face, a pretty lady want's your arm
By Boulevard road where the lovers roam
And to practise with decorum and charm
Whilst diamond chandeliers hang at home.

Although to tell you that it's all alright
Another love lost, but another gained
So remember to pray on this midnight
That in our own hearts it's life we blame.

A wonderful celebration of the love of life itself and love of the life you have lived so far.

    Uplifting and reassuring.
