Born

Merissa

I was born to be a writer

To show the world who I am

I was born to tell a story

And one you'd understand

I was born to let it out

The secrets within

A story never told

The depths of our sins

I was born to see it all

The lies and truth abound

Waiting in darkness

Never to be found

I was born to tell a truth

One we often forget

That we are not different

From those who don't "fit"

I was born. I was born.

As we all seem to be

Each with a purpose

That will set us free.
