Unheard songs

Aa Harvey

Unheard songs

A man who walks alone will stay alone.

He must learn to carry others with him.

A man who stands alone falls alone,

He must find the strength within.

If all we are is dust and bones blowing in the wind,

Then all our thoughts and memories must count for something.

I write for I believe it is my right.

My silence condemns that which is wrong.

I love because I believe in true love.

Her name is sung in unheard songs.

I poet because I know no other way,

To say the things that I must say.

Your last stanza would stand strong on its own here. Straight from the heart of a poet it connects so well.
