I miss you, the old you

fightrhymes

Sitting here broken hearted and you don’t even know.

You cannot see my pain because you are blinded by love, just not my love anymore.

I feel your distance like a shadow in the darkness.

I feel you slipping away from me like my father’s last breath.

I never thought I would have to compete for you, I believed you when you told me I would never be lonely again.

So much has changed, My heart hurts. I wish you missed me as much as I miss the old you.

I feel we are headed for a letdown, and I am helpless like the puppies you care so much to save, the puppies that have taken my place.

The same puppies that bring you the only happiness I’ve seen on your face lately are slowly killing me.

In the beginning of us I felt like nothing could build a wedge between us. I felt like I had finally found peace I finally found love, I finally found the person that will never make me feel lonely again. So much has changed.
