Life As The Economy Drones

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Since starting out at school
We taught to question nothing
Treated like a complete and utter fool
Sit, obey and conform
All wearing the same ugly uniform
They just moulded us into economy drones
Lost and distant, staring at our phones
I've seen people bullied in workplaces
Some of these managers are absolute disgraces
Planet Earth is like a giant pyramid scheme
Always out of reach seems to be the high beam
We all shoved and kept at the bottom
There is no in between
But no matter how difficult it would seem
It's never too late to grab your dream

First I studied the meaning friend,
Only then I noticed the rhyming,
Nice poem and all the best
    To write more such poems!
