Sun!

Joakim Bergen

Sun!

Cast your golden rope

Cross the sea!

Pull my island closer

T’wards your royalty!

Your rays tender

Dry the tears

That ages cast

Down the years.

Sun!

Jewel of the sky!

Amber diamond!

This dusk

Be only mine;

Thine flares

Your soothing visage;

Let them linger,

If only in my mind!

Sun!

I bid thee farewell

As you descend

The sapphire steps.

Should chance permit,

I shall behold

Your gilded ascent

From the depths

Of the azure sea.

    Great click my dear,
    The scene is superb,
    Your ode to the sun,
    Is indeed a nice one!

    Talking to the Sun is a little confusing.It reads like a script rather than a poem.What is missing is how you feel about the Sun.
