Decide to Hide, Victorious News, Don\\\'t Provide

mvvenkataraman

My mother used to advice not to express joy,

As, others' minds, our joy may seriously annoy,

Our happiness, they may curse to badly destroy,

Or many machinations, they may angrily deploy,

So, she will advice that secrecy we must employ,

Only then, all our pleasures, we can ever enjoy,

-

Her words are true to the core in my view,

As jealousy may cancel what is for us due,

Others may drop even the idea to rescue,

Even a kind person may start to hate you,

So, hide your feats when others interview,

Then, your sorrows will vanish like dew!
