iv.

verona

it isn't usually the things you hate that kill you in the end,
more deadly still is the sting of disappointed love,
or the flight of a fair weather friend.

time is such a funny thing
it makes fools of us all

but I knew, I knew, I knew
all the ill that loving you would do

you never meant to hurt me
maybe I meant to hurt myself -
I don't know if it was ever true love
or a symptom of bad mental health
