Tripod

AuburnScribbler

Imagine you’re a carpet,

where you do get tread on,

remember you’re the reason,

why their feet are not sodden,

envisage you’re a paper plate,

that they flippantly tear,

but you house the vol-au-vents,

to say their meal is there,

thus, you’re not a third wheel,

you keep them off the ground,

you make such a good tripod,

so stable, and so sound,

hence, you’re a vital part,

don’t say that you’re a fool,

as whenever you’re around,

you make the scene so cool.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Tripod, is a poem dedicated to those who are doing their best, despite them thinking they may not be, or think themselves dejected when it comes to recognition. YOU ARE ENOUGH, NEVER SAY THAT YOU'RE NOT! So to all you unsung heroes: I drink a pledge, your deeds are like the Sun, as you shine in the dark, you always hit the mark, a reason why we have won! The banner picture of the different coloured "graffiti-like" hearts, is an apt one, as it depicts a visual symbol of unity, something that we have to have a tight hold on, especially in such stupid divisive times. I hope that you enjoy this short poem, give yourself a pat on the back, and as always, please do stay safe everyone.
