Tug a war

Nicole Pritchard

I'm feeling like I'm in a tug a war

With thoughts of you now and then

Driving me crazy

Being pulled in both directions

How far can this rope stretch

Just hearing your name

Sends goosebumps down my body

I've tried hard to forget you

However your always in my thoughts

Which makes it really hard

To fully let you go

I'm being pulled every which way

In this tug a war

Feeling like I'm in a losing battle

Where I want to surrender

When I think I'm finally over you

You reappear like nothing happened

All the good and bad feelings

All resurface again

Makes me feel

Like I'm in a tug a war

With my own thoughts and fears

You bring out the good and bad in me

Why why why

Are you pulling me in all directions

In this tug a war

I'm almost ready to cut this rope

To end the tug of war
