A DISGUISED COMFORTABLE CHOICE: THE TRAP

October 2018

London’s life was running smoother,

perhaps too smoother?  A couple of phone and face to face interviews.

seemingly static,

Yet it moved, we would say, or I was pushed to….

2 interviews

1 shot

job offer

get ready to pack.

An odd event happened meanwhile during a gloomy London’s sunset afternoon.

Professional profile…LinkedIn

Sent invitation to be part of network to a French man – black and white photo on his profile.

Intel corporation his company

A French man I had been in contact with 11 years earlier.

Clicked- invitation accepted

I sent a ‘’merci’’- no reply.

Gloomy London’s sunset – I had my head in the cloud!

The morning after strong espresso coffee.

The French man photo had vanished in the CLOUD. It had vanished overnight.

Blond

blue eyes

a nerd

a jerk

a virtual sex performer, a soft one, all virtual, romantic scenarios.

Flu jab done

Bye Bye London.

Heathrow airport at sunrise

Leaving a Canadian book behind- one of those positive books

The story of a Poor Canadian who became rich in the real estate field in Montreal.

The plane took off – 1 hour and 15 minutes

smooth flight

no ‘’bungee jumping’’.

Landed

Picked up my luggage, the rest was left behind to further notice- 1 week later.

‘’To the booked hotel, please’’ I said to the taxi driver.

‘’Where are you coming from’’? the taxi driver asked me

London I replied.

‘’Why Belfast’? Tourist? No I replied I  have got a job in French

French Sales-

Different accent, different pitch, vowels pronunciation.

A 4th Richter Hearthwake in my head –

Damien?!

A nerd.

A jerk.

A virtual soft sex performer, romantic scenarios. Unaware.

A Tech,or seemingly so.

I had no particular feeling towards him, of course not.

I was a little frightened

But full of hope, of Love of JOB
