Dear younger me, I’m so sorry

Your_dreams

It was 1 am

When I came home

to find you, my beloved,

hanging above the bed.

I stood in the doorway,

Looking up at you

As the tears streamed

down my face.

I had never felt more

unlike myself

as I did

then.

I doubled over

with the weight of my failure.

Cuz I had failed

And not just you,

but me too...

It was at that moment

That I realised

I never loved you

No, I just lived you.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Have you ever felt like you’re divided in two parts. There’s a younger you and the person you are now... completely different. I wrote this for the younger me since older me had to push back and disregard younger me to move on but I wish I had learned to embrace all of me instead...

Beautiful, we all have regrets about our younger self. When we shouldn't...
If you lived a perfect young childhood. Who would you be now? Past mistakes make you who you are...😊💕💘Loved the poem. Ty for sharing.

I can say from experience none of our past life or current life is perfect. Theres always those flaws, but we learn to make something out of it. Just like you did. I love it!!! Take care😝👍💖
