A Tough Day

     After a long day; Calia’s glad to be home. For as much as she loves her work, she’s ready to be alone. She heads to the kitchen and can’t believe what she sees. Her kitchen sink seems to have sprung a leak. All she wanted was to unwind after hearing some bad news; she will call Grandpa Lou; he used to be the plumber in town. He’ll know what to do. Calia met Grandpa Lou about two years ago. He knew her parents well; a deep love for them he showed. See; in little towns everyone knows each other. And when times are really hard, they know how to put their differences aside and come together. When Calia first met him they instantly connected. Grandpa Lou spread word about Mom and Pops cafe; he’s been a true blessing. “Grandpa Lou?” “It’s me; do you have some time to speak?” “I sure do Calia.. what’s that? Your kitchen sink sprung a leak?” “I can be there in twenty minutes, just be sure all faucets are off; and don’t attempt to fix it.” Grandpa Lou knows all too well how Calia does things for herself.
