The Stars Above

rishitlogar

Two pairs of eyes gazed into the sky,

“What is that, Father?”

He glanced upon his father frantically,

Pointing towards luminous circles.

His guardian with tenderness elucidated,

“The world of ghosts.”

He started hoping up and down;

“When can I visit it?”

****************************

Three score years have passed.

Two pairs of eyes gazed into the sky;

He has seen days, now has a long bucket list.

Capes have been carried on for eons.

“What lies up above, Father?”

With drops smirking in the corner of his eyes,

“O my dearest son, you shall undergo it.”

He thought, “My dad has, so shall you and I.”
