I Lost A Friend Today

I lost a friend today

And I am really sad about it...

For I feel like a part of myself is lost. 

Yes,our once beautiful relationship-

It's in ruins , it's turned to dust! 

Broken our promises,broken our trust

Our friendship was golden! 

Oh! how did it rust?

 

I lost a friend today, and-

It's something I'm getting used to. 

It's better to be alone.

Atleast, no one can hurt you! 

I have learnt my lesson the hard way

But it was worth the pain

Don't get too attached to just anyone

That way, you shall not get hurt again!

 

I lost a friend today,

And that's the end of this story

The "friend" I lost is a lesson now

The friendship we had is now a memory.
