Books

Kaelyn Jade

Books are like portals to other worlds,
They transport us beyond time and space,
The stories unfold like unfurled pearls,
That dazzles us with their grace.

The writer crafts each word with care,
Creating scenes that come alive,
The book invites us to share,
The emotions that it strives.

The reader immerses in the book,
That sparkles and glows with wonder,
The title may catch the first look,
But the chapters make us ponder.

Some writers write of dragons and elves,
While others write of love and mystery,
Some books make isn laugh or cry,
While others challenge our history.

I like to write books that make us feel,
But sometimes my books lack appeal,
So I hold on to their essence,
Until I find a new expression.

Sometimes books fade when they are born,
But sometimes they stay till they are torn,
Its sad when they leave,
Or get damaged beyond repair.

But their spirit lives on to make a new book,
A book with a new style and hook,
A new book that makes us dream,
A new book that will shimmer and gleam.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I love to write and especially read! This poem talks about how hard writers work on their books(or poems). How they pour out their heart into what they write and how it transforms the book. This poem also talks about how not all books turn out but the idea can be turned into something else. Or how a book gets published but doesn’t hit. OR how a book gets publish then after a while of fame it slowly loses interest with the crowd, until later on someone comes and rewrites the same story with their heart and experience in life adding an amazing twist to it.

Beautiful poem Kaelyn. I notice some poems that people put so much effort in but don't really get noticed. Love how beautiful the poem sounds!

Thank you! This means a lot to me, I wasn’t sure if it was good enough to publish at first.
