I always knew this day would come
The day when you would say let’s break up
When you would write that lousy letter
And then when you would put it on my sweater
The time when you would say that you need time
And when you would expect me to understand
You still want me to be the same
But right inside of me it really kills me
The pain that I have inside
And tears dripping from my eyes
By saying goodbye and moving on with my life
I knew this day would come but not so soon

Very good. You've expressed it very well....ah, the horrid realization of the dreaded fears! The heartbreak to face afterall.....you aptly expressed it...and I still hate those words...need more time....it proves the crushing reality of being used. The funny thing is that only one of my boyfriends ever used a letter to break up with me, and it was the first boyfriend. Coincidentally, the relationship had been chilling anyway, especially me, so it was no heartbreak my case. Your title is excellent...great job! I like it.
