An Officer Leaves, My Mind Bereaves

mvvenkataraman

You do not at all cry over trifles
You carry guts, instead of rifles
Your hoping mind, confidence fills
Your effective word exorcises devils

You get deep respect from everybody
You are helping the poor and needy
In enforcing principles, you are steady
To support rights, you are ever ready

Your commanding charisma, I envy
You always truly love the word "we"
Age-tax alone, time can easily levy
No burden can make your heart heavy

You are going away due to retirement
The best man is leaving the management
You have brought in every life improvement
About your talent, there can be no argument

For worry, you never at all give room
And so you know not what is gloom
In your mind only positive ideas bloom
Peace prefers you as her bride-groom

In handling people, you are a master
Your life is a guide for every youngster
Your blessings can stop easily disaster
You can erase sadness via mind-duster

From man to man, you can differentiate
Constructive actions you can initiate
Everything is success, if you negotiate
You can aptly appreciate and propitiate

When you leave, will come a great void
This separation, none can surely avoid
Of course, all will feel deeply annoyed
To cure, your principles will be employed

In no matter you have shown any bias
You can make people say happily 'yes'
You are an unknown management-genius
You are a gift from the Lord for all of us

Sir, we pray ever for your fine welfare
Such a prayer is just as well as fair
None equals you if I strongly compare
You are simply great, I firmly declare.
