The woman has gone

drgnchaser

As we sat in the park
You on one bench, I on another
I look through your eyes
Past my reflection and into the gleam
A bottomless void with no return
I get lost in your dreams
The fabric of illusion
Fragments of memories
Of a past and present and uncertain future
Euphoric feelings of pleasure
And deeply seeded pain
It enraptures my soul as we fly together
Just you and me so free, away from it all
Life's harsh reality, only to be awakened
By the screams of children
The Blast of a car horn
As a ball rolls from the corner
And with my eyes open
I realize, the woman has gone...
