For you say friend

But estranged you stay

For time steals for its cosmic laughter

Keeping us lingering

Comfort is your weakness

And you mine

The answer is nay

I will not leave

Even though Friendship is altered between us

For you mean differently than I to you

You don’t take my hand but consume my soul

On the ground you leave me

Darkening me each and every time

Staying I know best even when left I get
