The storm keeper

metal's mistake

The thundering noise!

I've always enjoyed.

The flash of light,

 never gave me  fright.

Even when I was small,

I loved the thrill of it all.

The power of the storm,

Has always kept me warm.

I love the smell of the wind,

It's like a rush that will never end.

I love the taste of the rain,

It  touches my skin,

And cures all of my pain.

I am the storm keeper,

This is my name.

I live in the storm,

And I feel no shame.

WELCOME MM - Beautiful first poem - I love all poems about Nature and storms are wicked ! I'm from UK and we are always near the coast where the Storms are. Thunder & Lightning waves lashing the coast and being al-fresco in the rain - awesome ! Love the structure of your poem bursting with rhyme & rhythm full of poetic energy as befits the subject. Love the subject I smelt the wind - I tasted the rain - thanks for sharing - BRIAN
