SMALL THINGS ARE ENOUGH

Berthold Lippel

No need to be a hero

To fly into space

To conquer a country

Just make me some tea

When I am sad or weary

Small things are enough

No need to be a lover

To bring fragrant roses

To write clever poems

Just hold my hand

When I am worried or lonely

Small things are enough

No need to make speeches

To build castles with words

To drip honey from tongue

Just share my silence

In a world full of noise

Small things are enough

THANKS BERTHOLD - BIG POEM about SMALL THINGS ! I'm 50 years younger than you - BUT - I appreciate the same small things ! A cup of tea - Holding hands - Sharing silence in a noisy world ! Maybe I've already grown up ! Thanks for caring BRIAN
