Octopus.

kevin browne

The octopus couldn't find himself
out of sight somewhere hiding in his den
camouflaged by magic onto a rock beside
the sharks are scared, din dins for tonight
the glint in his eye as sharp as we can see
shell shocked by the depths of the pacific deep
see the running crabs, octy eats them for tea
under the ledge staring as his prey goes by
suspicion, he looks into your eyes and can see
the human bait as we are indeed they have a go
coming back for more when in fact never letting go
I love these wonderful elusive creatures. genius.

Fascinating creatures. They have inspired books and movies. Thanks.
