Her Memories

Potterfan

Her eyes shined with happiness

Until suddenly old memories flew in

She remembered the way things happened

Then she felt her eyes shine again because she knew that was in the past

She couldn't dwell anymore

No matter how much she regrets that

But she tried to forget memory throughout the day

But her mind kept flashing back to it

There are some memories that just want you to remember what you did

They want you to remember the remember the pain and regrets

She didn't want to remember her regrets

Those moments when she remembered were some of the worst

She knew she shouldn't let it get to her

But how couldn't she?

Those were mistakes she made

Mistakes she couldn't take back

She could never take them back

She knew what she did in that last would keep hurting her

Great write, we are all haunted by ththe past in one way or another. One of the reasons I started writing poems was to deal with all the thoughts in my head

      • Potterfan

That's why I began writing poems because I had all these thoughts soaring around up there and didn't know what to do with them. Thank you.
