Territory

Voicesecho88

When it's all said and done, it was a good experience

Never again will I repeat this story

No new snakes lying in my territory

I'm not a kid no more, I can smell the bs from a mile away

The fake smiles, lying in your interest just to feed your own gain

I see through all of your bullshit clearly

A lesson well learned in the grand scheme of things

A coming of age

The innocence fades to black

Learn and adapt

Less mistakes, more steady pace

No longer at my side, clearing away all the false truths

I ain't giving up, I ain't giving in

The circle will stay small, where my control exists

My rules, my territory

Time to start anew

Left behind in the rear view

Now I am done with this story

Time to rebuild my territory

  • Comment from author about the poem: Are you bitter? Yes. Are you spiteful? Yes. Take that anger and move forward. No it's not easy but it's proof that you are REAL. In this moment, you control your world, who you love, and who you trust. Anger can fuel greatness, use your power wisely. The different emotions displayed all play their roles. Just something different.
