COLD morning

the big red chair

COLD morning

The black sky is mine
Silence hides behind the frozen buildings
Never revealing it's origins
As I chase it around each corner

Screaming footfalls awaken nothing
I am alone and reeling in the cold
Piercing to infinity. I laugh
And embrace the beginning of time

"It's too early", she says
And I walk further, and further
Wanting only to break my reverie
And come in from the cold
