Violins Played Midnight Til Morn.

kevin browne

moments came between us, unfortunate as it seems
deliverance by a shock that broke your world inside
playing stupid whilst the violins played midnight til morn
yes it felt it wasn't right when your heart burst and spat it out
a place with the uncertainty which was full of haunting you
I watched your smile turn bitter with the taste of no return
loving arms held out that are now gone, lost and sold
a walk is taken away when a back is up against a wall
yet, still standing there and waiting for all to come and dance
with a string playing a note of love pretending to be cool
the Moon the stars, the universe, Pluto, Neptune and Mars
I fell in love with Venus as it flowed through my heart and veins
stood to test some strength in togetherness, lay the law down low
so created by a flash of impossible time that got caught on tow
stretched to the max which burden did you want to crack open
living space between us and in knowing whoever you are
breaking a bond, a tie, a love, a hope, a dream passed us by.
