Jump

Caden_Mercer10

This is the only thing
Jump
That can get me higher off the ground
Jump
But still keep me
Jump
In my own control.

But, when you're airborne,
Jump
Can you ever
Jump
Really be in control?
Jump
Can you ever
Jump
Really determine
Jump
What happens to you
Jump
In midair?

Because I could
Jump
Just fall off the edge,
Jump
And land hard
Jump
Onto the surface of the Earth.

But that pain
Jump
You would feel
Jump
If you hit the ground,
Jump
It doesn't cross your mind
Jump
When you're up higher
Jump
Than you could ever
Jump
Really be while alone.

When I'm on it,
Jump
I feel like at any moment
Jump
I could fly away
Jump
up into the clouds
Jump
And never need it again.

If I fall down
Jump
Off this bouncy surface,
Jump
My wings may break
Jump
And never fly again.

I come back down,
Jump
As fast as gravity will allow.
Jump
And as I land,
Jump
My feet sink down into the surface,
Jump
Only to send me
Jump
Back up into the air.

This surface is
Jump
My own safety net,
Jump
And it will always
Jump
Help my wings fly.

This surface
Jump
Is my inspiration.

And with every flight,
Jump
It whispers to me,
Jump
Telling me everything will be okay.

Sometimes, it feels
Jump
Like time slows down
Jump
When I'm in the air.

I allow myself
Jump
To feel as though
Jump
I'm lighter than air.

And I slowly
Jump
Look around
Jump
At all the calm
Jump
And peaceful things
Jump
Surrounding my airborne body.

For while I'm up
Jump
In the middle of the air,
Jump
It gives my mind time
Jump
To think about things
Jump
I couldn't think of
Jump
Anywhere else in the world.

As I come back down,
Jump
I land so triumphantly,
Jump
Feeling so alive,
Jump
At the thought of me flying.

For anytime I go
Jump
And fly over the ground,
Jump
There's no feeling like it
Jump
When you feel truly alive.
