why does love exist

mariposa

why does love exist

if it comes to an end

why does love exist

if you have to defend

why does love exist

if it hurts to let go

why does love exist

if it kicks a low blow

why does love exist

if it hurts so much

why does love exist

if you perfer isolation as a crutch

why does love exist

if you feel alone in a crowded room

why does love exist

if it feels like doom

why does love exist

if it makes you weep

why does love exist

if you can not leap

why does love exist

if you have emotional scars

why does love exist

if you just won't to put your heart in jars

Welcome MARI ~ Thanks for your first poem ~ which poses a lot of QUESTIONS but provides no ANSWERS. Love is EXPERIENTIAL ~ not just something to write about or debate about. It is something we feel deeply about ~ and it can be AGONY or ECSTASY or both ~ depending on your experience ! We are all born with an innate capacity to LOVE and be LOVED. From the minute our loving MUMMY gazes into our eyes when we are born until the day we die ~ love is Universal and we can never escape it ! Like all our emotions it has a POSITIVE (True Love) and a NEGATIVE (Betrayal of Love) side. As we grow up we experience both and it causes us to ask the questions you are asking "WHY DOES LOVE EXIST" Despite everything "A World without Love" would be Hell ~ God is Love so where True Love abounds it is Heaven ! Thanks for sharing ~ it made me think. I am in a "loving relationship" at the moment and I hope and pray you will find True Love too ! Yours BRIAN (UK) Please check my Poems ~ Thanks B. Love the structure of your Poem ~ it is bursting with Rhyme & Rhythm !

it exists so that people have an excuse to have lots of humpy bumpy in the name of 'love'
