THANKS MICHAEL ~ Perceptive as ever ~ even so early in the morning ! MOI use cliches ? NEVER ! Ich bin ein WORTSCHMIT ! Thanks for your encouragement BRIAN The Ode Maker !

      • Michael Edwards

Cliches - of course - in fact a poem of only cliches would go down well.

If I had to choose a favourite month it would have to be September - a glorious tribute to its beauty Brian.

Good write Brian. We are coming into autumn, my favourite time of the year and I am looking forward to those wonderful mornings where the sun is shining and the deep frost is on the ground.

A fine write Brian. Is that 'mellow' stuff for October?!
What happened to the months? 'Sept' is 7; 'Octo' is 8, etc? What got left out?! I can't remember it all.

              • BRIAN & ANGELA

YES indeed Steve ~ for those of us steeped in the Classics it\'s all a bit confusing ~ With (Sept ~ Oct ~ Nov ~ Dec) we do seem to be two months adrift but THANK GOD ~ OCTANE ((CH3CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH3) still has eight carbon atoms otherwise our IC Engines would grind to a halt ! Organic Chemists are not just Classicists we are Modest Genii as well ! Thanks for a fine comment ~ BRIAN

September normally denotes a busier time of year for me but the UK economy is in slump, householders not spending, time on my hands, time to be inspired by your writing. Nice one sir!

Thanks DA ~ I work in Higher & Further Education (Higher up the Wall & Further round the Bend !) So September kick starts the new term for me. Good area to work in ~ no discipline problems and (because job related qualifications are involved) they are all keen to learn and qualify ! We restart 11 September ~ so i will have less time to muse ! Thanks for your comment ~ BRIAN

On another note, won't miss my kids going back to school, but, such is life. Again, I think you hit this one out of the park, as we say. Hugs! Christina

Oh! I love September and even though here in Florida is the hurricane season and it is a bit scary but I love it because it is the transition to fall and I think soon enough we can be a little cooler. In my country is the spring time. So lovely spring. Thanks for this joyous poem Brian.
