Knowledge

poetboy123

Always on the horizon, impossible to reach

Things to learn that no one can ever teach

Crippling or empowering depends on what you see

Ignorance chains while Knowledge sets us free

Bane of our enemies, our greatest friend

Knowledge is an iron blade, never to bend

Strangled by shadows of the night, buried and lost

Stolen from us, to earn it back we must pay the cost

No stone will be left unturned, truth we shall seek

Uncovering the painted lies over the shallow graves

More we learn, we begin to realize alone we are weak

Only together we will take the future we all crave

Decision is ours, time’s up, now we must choose

Silence wrapped tongue or words to light the fuse

Truth’s been taken from us, what’s left to lose?

Sacrifice, our path to victory with many a bruise

This is great writing excellent subject matter straight to the point and good contradiction to validate each line.
