Cutting Ties

Daisyy

Sometimes when you have to cut ties

You realize you were the only one with the ties

You realize that they could easily say their goodbyes

And its like a storm that has this crazy wind blowing

And suddenly it ceases, it stops going

And you’re left in the quiet, with lack of any sound

Then and only then do you feel no one’s around

Its in the silence of the storm

When fear of abandonment begins to form

You hate feeling because it defies all logic

But you’re only human, you just can’t help it

So you feel

You heal

You deal

And soon you realize things are fine

But you’re glad you were able to draw that line

You look back on the times shared

And smile, knowing you’ll find someone else who cares.
