I Feel You

Dent Moses

Above her painted face
It would be a sin
To shake her awake.
I want to look at you
Again, to see you notice me
Again. I'll try to predict
Every way our lives could be.

The worst is spoken first
And makes us want to hide away
To wait alone for us to say
I feel you in my bones.
