Pocket Change

"Carter Wills"

A penny, a nickel, a dime,
a single cent, or two, or a few.
Perhaps not so much I will admit,
or so it seems to me and you.

Yet take a moment to think,
a moment for that coin’s honest value.
To others it could be worth a thousand,
plenty more than what we would say is true

For even a single cent,
while as simple and little it could be.
For others in this world,
it's worth far more than it is to you and me.

So take some change from your pocket,
it's quite simple, you see.
And be a soul, pass it along to others!
Indeed, others truly far more in need.
